EcoSignature Hospitality Services restructures, appoints new chief executive

EcoSignature Hospitality Services Limited has announced a strategic corporate restructuring designed to strengthen its governance framework, enhance operational efficiency, and position the company for sustained growth and industry leadership within Nigeria’s hospitality, tourism, and consulting sectors.

As part of the restructuring, the Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Ms. Enitan Aisha Olokode, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, effective 1 June 2026.

Prior to her appointment, Ms. Olokode served as the company’s Regional General Manager, South-West, where she was responsible for overseeing regional operations, business development, client relations, and service delivery. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s market presence, improving operational performance, and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the region. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence, making her a respected professional within the hospitality industry. Her appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in her ability to drive innovation, strengthen operational performance, and deliver long-term value to clients and stakeholders.

In her new role as Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Olokode will be responsible for the overall executive management of EcoSignature Hospitality Services Limited, including strategy execution, business expansion, organizational development, and the implementation of key corporate initiatives. A highly accomplished hospitality professional, Ms. Olokode brings a unique blend of academic excellence, professional competence, and practical industry experience to her new role.

Enitan is an alumnus of the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), now Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), and Atiba University Oyo where she earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Hotel Management and Tourism as well as a Micro MBA (mMBA) in Hospitality and Tourism Consulting. She also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Lead City University, Ibadan. In addition to her academic qualifications, Ms. Olokode has undertaken numerous professional and executive training programmes in accounting, costing, hospitality management, revenue management, leadership, business operations, and related disciplines. She is also a Certified Hospitality Distribution Specialist, reflecting her expertise in contemporary hospitality marketing, distribution systems, and revenue optimization.

Furthermore, she is a Full Member of the Nigerian Hotel and Catering Institute (MNHCI), one of Nigeria’s foremost professional bodies dedicated to advancing excellence and professionalism within the hospitality and catering industry. She is also a Full Member of the Institute of Hospitality Accountants and Revenue Managers (IHA-rm), reflecting her commitment to sound financial management, revenue optimization, and best practices in hospitality accounting. In addition, she is an Associate Member of the Association of Tourism and Hospitality Consultants in Nigeria (ATHC), a professional association that promotes consultancy excellence and sustainable development within Nigeria’s tourism and hospitality sectors. Through these professional affiliations, she remains actively engaged in industry development, continuous professional learning, and the advancement of hospitality and tourism practice in Nigeria. She was recently nominated among the top 100 women in hospitality, among others.

The Board expressed confidence that her extensive experience, professional credentials, and proven leadership record will further accelerate the company’s growth trajectory and reinforce its commitment to service excellence.

The restructuring also includes the appointment of Dr. Edward Ekundayo Akerele as a Non-Executive Independent Director, bringing independent oversight, strategic guidance, and valuable professional expertise to the Board. Meanwhile, Professor Wasiu Babalola, Founder of the company, will now serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors, providing strategic leadership and governance oversight while focusing on corporate strategy, stakeholder engagement, institutional development, and long-term sustainability.
