The 2026 edition of the annual Asun Carnival is set to take place from May 1st to 3rd in the ancient town of Ondo at the La Campagne Tropicana Hills and Caves Resort Ita Nla-Ondo, Ondo State.
The Motherland Beckons Initiative, in conjunction with Destination Ondo is hosting the carnival.
The first day of the event, May 1st, will witness the arrival, Carnival on the Hill Top, and welcome party for tourists and visitors.
Saturday, May 2nd, will see an array of activities including Kolokun (goat-chasing competition), Asun preparation competition, novelty football match at Adeyemi University of Education, Ondo, non-stop dancing and so much more, at the after-party in Ondo.

There will be a tour of Ondo town on Sunday May 3. According to the event organisers, artistes like African Bata Queen Drummer, Olo Omidan Bata, Culture singer Tasha and others from the stable of Atunda Entertainment will also perform during the three-day event.

Speaking on the Asun Carnival, the Visioner of Motherland Beckons, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, said the 2026 edition of Asun Carnival is a continuation of the efforts of Motherland Beckons to promote Ondo as a destination.
