*How God saved the career of Angel Gomes using TB Joshua

The release of the latest call up names for the English Football National Team, the Three Lions by the Interim Manager Lee Carsley   marks the complete turnaround of a former Manchester United Football Club academy player Angel Gomes who has gotten his first call up to the English national team.

IN 2016, at just 16 years, Gomes was at a cross road in his promising football career as it was collapsing as a result of multiple injuries on his ankle, hip and groin. Since he was not making any progress, he had to take a break from football to heal. His family, who had been ardent followers of the late Prophet T.B. Joshua online, decided to bring him to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Ikotun, Lagos, Africa’s leading religious tourism destination, for prayers and healing,.

 He joined the Prayer Line during the church service and as the late prophet ministered prayers to those on the line, Gomes’ could be heard saying: “I am Angel Gomes, I am 16 years old. I play for Manchester United in England, and I am going through a career break for the moment with a lot of injuries around my groin, hip and also my ankle. I need the Man of God to help me with this injuries please.” While Prophet T.B. Joshua was ministering to other, he could further be heard shouting with a little agitation: “Man Of God help me! Man of God please helps me! Man of God please help me! My groin and hip, my ankle ligament! My groin and hip, I have problem with my groin and hip!!”

The late Prophet T. B. Joshua came to him, but did not utter any word. He simply tapped him on the chest and stomach. He also tapped his shin and ankle, and knees. Prophet T.B. Joshua did some gesticulations with his right hand that seemed to remotely push Angel Gomes right and left. Then he stepped on Gomes’ left left leg, and then waved him away. It was over. Gomes exclaimed: “Thank you Man of God! Thank You Jesus!! Thank you T.B. Joshua! I can move my legs, I can move my ankle!” He jogged around excitedly, making motion of kicking imaginary ball.

He was to later give his testimony: “My name is Angel Gomes. I am from Manchester. I am 16 (years). I play for Manchester United Football Club. I have been struggling really with injuries. I have been having injuries on my hip and groin which is affecting me playing. And also, I suffered ankle injury, not long ago which has affected me playing and kept me out for a long time. These injuries were coming at a hard time for me, times when I was having a breakthrough, or times when I had to go to a tournament or playing games. These would happen quite frequently. As I was playing for Man United, I also represent England  National Team Under 17 as captain.

“I have learnt about the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) for a long time as my family follow T.B. Joshua, the prophet. My parents are big fans and we all watch videos. We thought it will be a good time and a good chance for me to come and be touched by the prophet.”

Speaking about his healing experience, Gomes said: “I just felt something inside me, a little shock, I was surprised, I can’t really describe how I felt. It just all got to me now really.”

Asked to give his word of advice to people all over the world, having visited and experienced God’s power,  he said: “Just don’t doubt what you really feel inside. Just go with your heart and really have faith. When you need someone to look up to, just look to God and really have faith.”

Although Gomes returned to England and resumed his career, he had to leave Manchester United Football Club  to French Ligue 1 Club LOSC Lille in 2020 for regular playing time.  He career has fully blossomed leading to his first call into the English Three Lions.
