ITPN will work with tourism minister-Odusanwo
Posted on: February 6, 2024, by : uguru okorieThe President of the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) Chief Abiodun Odusanwo has promised that the institute will work with Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Lola Ade-John, to achieve success. Odusanwo said this during his goodwill message at the launching of the NIHOTOUR Mobile Training Kitchen Truck. He described the appointment of the tourism minister as a signal that the government of Nigeria is ready to actually promote tourism. He added: “Be assured of our support to ensure that your tenure, your period and time is very successful. And when the achievements of ministers and ministries are being rolled out, please be assured that we are going to do our best, diligently to ensure that your scorecard is among those that are on the limelight.”
Odusanwo also commended the achievement of the director general of NIHOTOUR, Alhaji Nura Sanni Kangiwa since he took over office, most especially in capacity building of operators in the tourism industry.
Also in his goodwill message, Otunba Segun Runsewe said culture cannot be separated from tourism. Illustrating his statement further, he said, “you cannot take away pounded yam, from the yam. The brand identity for Nigeria is culture. Tourism is the marketing and promotion arm.”
