Olanma Ojukwu to make case for tourism at Arochukwu annual conference

Benin Republic based travel consultant and Managing Director of GOTA Travel and Tours, Dr. Olanma Alvanis Ojukwu is set to make a presentation on tourism at the prestigious annual gathering of sons and daughters of Arochukwu ancient kingdom, the All Aro National Conference (Nzuko Aro). The event will hold on Friday, July 25, 2025 in Arochukwu kingdom, Abia State, Nigeria.
The conference in its sixth edition, is convened by the traditional ruler of Arochukwu ancient kingdom His Eminence Eze Eberechukwu Oji, and it is expected to be chaired by Dr. Ozoemena Izuma. The Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Oti will be the special guest of honour.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Aro renaissance: Consolidating gains and charting new frontiers for Aro Kingdom’s unity, peace and development”. The keynote speaker at the occasion will be one of Nigeria’s distinguished industrialists, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa. Dr. Olanma Ojukwu is expected to deliver a paper on the topic ‘Aro Tourism’.
In a her chat with Africa Travel Herald, Ojukwu expressed her excitement over the opportunity given to her by the King of Aro and the organizing committee of the conference to speak on tourism in the ancient kingdom. She said she plans using the opportunity to spotlight the connection between the Aros in the Diaspora and Aros in Aro, and explore how tourism can be a bridge for legacy, livelihood and leadership. She said: “Some arrangement are done divinely…Returning all the glory to the Almighty God who has began this great tourism move in my own village.”
