Ex-Lagos tourism commissioner set to mark 50th birthday in style

According to source, there will be a convergence of classy well-wishers including top politicians, business moguls, friends, and associates in May for the celebration of the milestone. Also, many activities have been lined up for the big event.
Popularly called Moremi in the political circle, the charming businesswoman cum politician served in four ministries as commissioner including: Youth and Social Development, Home Affairs, Employment and Wealth Creation, and Tourism, Arts and Culture from 2015 to 2023.
Akinbile-Yusuf’s tenure as Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism and Culture is regarded by many within the tourism industry as a huge success. Her achievements include: the launching of the Lagos State Tourism Master plan, partnering with the private sector to host major international exhibitions in the country like the Akwaaba, supervising the disbursement of COVID-19 support for the tourism and culture sector practitioners, embarking on the tour of the three geopolitical zones in Lagos State for an on- the-spot assessment of tourism sites and how the state could improve these sites to build tourism traffic, successfully hosting the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST), and many more.
Already, legendary music maestro, King Sunny Ade has been contacted to thrill guests at the climax of the celebration scheduled for Marriott Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos.
