The final agreement between the Ondo State government and La Campagne Beach Resort for the development of the Araromi Tourism Development Zone, Ondo State, has been signed. This was recently concluded with the issuance of certificate of occupancy to the President of La Campagne Tourist Beach Resort, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye.
In line with the vision of making Ondo State a choice tourist destination, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had set plans in motion to make one of the state’s rural areas, Araromi, the best beachfront in Nigeria. The governor had declared the community’s beachfront a tourism zone, unfolded his vision for the area during a meeting with Otunba Wanle Akinboboye.

The project, founded by Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, would see to the development and transformation of the rural community into a thriving blue economy for the benefit of global business and leisure travellers as well as the locals.

The governor said it was time to develop the huge potential of the state in tourism, using a new approach, hence the declaration of Araromi beachfront as a tourism zone.
“We have reached an agreement to declare our waterfronts or shores, where we have a lot of advantages in the country, a Tourism Zone,” the governor had said.
